Get Low...

A little ReDynaMix edit, we had some dramatic clouds over the mall this past weekend. To answer Julie, I did not shoot any at the book fest, it was just some big white tents in front of the capital. It was actually was kind of muddy, we made a walk thru and hit the American Indian Smithsonian.

Hard Rock Cafe

Found this one also in my Philadelphia folder, so how odd is it that that HIGH in DC today is 85 degrees with really no humidity, so Julia is off, the kids are in camp, I am firing up the D300 and we heading downtown to find something to shoot. For those of you not on the mid-Atlantic coast, its is usually long hot and humid days in August. This has to be one of the mildest summer's in years. Have a good weekend.

Working it too hard

The weather gods were not with me on the cruise in Portland, Maine. I did a little ReDynaMix, Dfine, ColorEfex Pro on these. I like them a bit, but these are the edits you go back too a couple days later and go "What was I thinking". Better Luck next time. Heather, the lighting in yeterdays post was all available light. F3.5 @ 1/125th. Jen - I did the toning is CS3 BW adjustment layer, and used The Debigulator in OnOne Pro Phototools.

Georgetown PhotoWalk

Big thanks to Jeff for putting this together. The walk was great and had the opportunity to put a couple faces with names. Even got a couple of shots along the way. The weather could not have been any better.

Saturday Morning Thanks

I wanted to say thanks to Shawn Duffy for a feature photographer posting over at his site. Feels good when someone takes a little more interest then just recognizing comments on their site. Shawn has some great images of his own, and most recently sold his images from the DCist photography gallery exhibit. His site is on my go to everyday.
Image was taken on the tow path at Great Falls, MD this past week, A lil ReDynaMix, Dfine, Curve...
Michael's 7th Birthday is today, and then we are off the Disney World for the week.

Pigeon Eye View of Times Sq

Opened in CS3 as 8 bit Jpeg, used ReDynaMix. I was looking for a image for the masthead up top that I could add text to. All but a bit of sharpening was done with the filter. I used the curves and Color Equalizer for the final effect. Side note is that this printed excellent on Velvet Fine @ 13x19.
