I snapped this with David's point and shoot last night. We were invited over for a left-over "Lets Drink" get together with the families. David has been a great friend and always is ready for a impromptu get "Lets Drink" together. He is neck deep in the restaurant industry in Washington DC and surrounding burbs and has a ton of talent in the kitchen at home and I thought he could share his wisdom on a blog of his own. That's is a beer and a post happening in the image above. You may recall Smelson's Crabcake. So if you like food and fun check out his new blog, Pleasures Of The Table.

Sunflower
Generated HDR in 1 file conversion and tone mapped in Photomatix. I added a little pop with Nik Viveza. I was tipped off to this sunflower feild by a local photographer blog friend Patty Hankins. Thanks Patty. There were acres of sunflowers at McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area. The bonus was that it was just down the street on River Rd.

Working it too hard

The weather gods were not with me on the cruise in Portland, Maine. I did a little ReDynaMix, Dfine, ColorEfex Pro on these. I like them a bit, but these are the edits you go back too a couple days later and go "What was I thinking". Better Luck next time. Heather, the lighting in yeterdays post was all available light. F3.5 @ 1/125th. Jen - I did the toning is CS3 BW adjustment layer, and used The Debigulator in OnOne Pro Phototools.

There is a ton of light pouring in this window for 10:30pm. I was shooting the 1943 and this couple was happy to pose for a shot.

Change
I was out in Georgetown last night shooting for a client. What a perfect July night to do a nighttime photo walk there. I met Wolf, Travis and his girlfriend (pictured above) and we got to shooting around 11pm and shot until about 1am and then of course when your in DC at night with your camera, we had to ride over to the Jefferson memorial for a quick shot. Met a lot of new faces last night and for those of you I gave my card to, I will be posting the images from last night for a week, so come back and check. The two young couples I shot upstairs, email me your names please.
