New Executive Portrait for Julia for 2010

Julia (my wife for those that do not know) wanted to submit a new executive portrait to Bloomingdales for promo and internal use.

Good for me they needed a brown muslin background, I used 1 Ultra 600 in a Medium Light-box for main right side, filled with 1 Ultra 600 into umbrella for fill on left. I did go with a wider stance as to eliminate glare on the glasses. 1 Sb800 at 1/2 power - (SU-4 mode) optical slave with a Honl Speed Gobo for a little controlled light on the background to lighten it up and create separation. D300 with a 24-70 2.8 for a rig and LR and CS3 for Post.

Snow Tubing at Ski Liberty

Took the kids snow tubing at Ski Liberty for the MLK holiday with the Resnick's.

Great big hill+loads of snow and a people mover (the covered walkway in background) = LOADS OF FUN.

I known I have been light in the posts a bit lately, this is my 517th post and I know I still have a few more in me, but is is kind of nice not having to do a post everyday. I will get motivated again soon, thanks for stopping by.

Teatro Goldoni

I had the honor of working with Chef Enzo Fargione at Teatro Goldoni last month. We worked on creating images of his Culinary Journey Chefs Table concept. Some of the images are in the slide show on the main site, and it looks like they are working on a show for the Chefs Table.

Brussel Sprouts

Yep, sometimes it will not be as glamorous as yesterdays post. But a good friend of mine, Jen, that runs Once Upon A Chef recipe blog had a great recipe for these. We made her Roasted Brussel Sprouts on Sunday. We are going to be collaborating on some more shots soon, so be sure to check out her blog for my images and her fantastic recipes.

I had to use two lights for this shot with fill cards, Main Light (ultra 600) was back left, fill right (SB800 in Ezybox).
