A Quick Maine Lighthouse Shot

Imagine that, not very creative of me but the weather as you can see was a bit overcast.

I am just getting to downloading my cards, I will work on them and coax out a couple shots when I have some time this week.

Lighthouses would be a favorite subject of mine if we had any around here. Makes me wish I was as into photography earlier in my life when I lived up and down the east coast. I love this shot, the clouds add a lot to it.

creative or not this shot is stellar. With the weather elements aiding to a beautiful moody sky over the already magnificent lighthouse not much else was needed Mike!

I need to get myself to Maine. The lighthouses there are beautiful such as this one.

You mentioned that it was overcast most of the trip but if you had clouds like this the whole time I wouldn't be upset at all because as Marc said - they really add to the shot so much!!

I love this!

While you say it's not creative, I think this is the type of shot that sells well for calendars, etc. Love the detail in the cloudy sky!

Lovely! The sky is wonderful as are the vivid colors. Is it a pano or crop?

Very cool. Perfect clouds for photography. (Maybe not for vacationing families with kids.)

Hi Mike,

Still out in Italy, sat here with a cool beer watching the world go by. I love this shot, the sky is awesome, can't wait to see a bigger version of it when I get back.

Well done, you usually see this shot with bright sun, I like it better with the ominous clouds.
