Flitter

Still working the butterfly angle. I really have to say that if you like close up photography, the canon close up filter on a Nikkor lens is really a must have. This shot when I looked at the meta data was shot @ 38mm on the 24 - 70 2.8. If I had my 105 macro, I would have compressed the scene and not have had the room for this type of composition. The butterfly garden was crowded. I was usually 8 to 15 inch's away, so with the wide angle I was able to have better control of composition. Well, that's my story and I am sticking to it.

Float

Hard to come up with names to these since I am species illiterate on butterflies. Maybe I should get a book? Sure been buggy around here, I have a couple more to share from the adventure to Brookside Garden. I have a few shoots lined up soon, so I need to get busy on them.

Also if you are interested in HDR techniques, IcemanUk sent me a email last night about a 23 frame HDR Panoramic he just finished. You can check it out here.
