Fore!!

Can not say this is a unusual sight in NYC, nothing is unusual there, but it was a tad out of place.

I was the DC Shutterbug Spotlight Photographer for the month of September over at the DC Shutterbug blog. A excellent resource for the area. Thanks Robert!!

Falls Road Pano HDR

I just liked the way there was some natural movement in this. It was originally 7 shots across and 3 deep bracketed handheld. The sun was a bit bright on the right and I cropped that part out. HDR merged and tonemap in Photomatix Pro using batch mode with the same tonemap as the Par shot earlier this week and Crop and Curve in CS3.

Point of Impact

I did a burst of Hiam when he swung. I was pleased to see that the 1/2500 Shutter Priority Mode caught this shot. The series is pretty cool too as when I combined it to .avi it was a mini movie of his swing. Golf Blogger - asked yesterday what I did to get the shot. I did a 3 exposure bracket, merged to HDR and tonemapped it to what you see, a little curve in CS3 and sharpened. Tech talk for I shot 3 shots and combined them with software = ).

I signed up for the Scott Kelby Annual Worldwide Photowalk this morning for Chinatown in DC. PhotoWalkPro (Jeff Revell) is leading it, there were 25 spots left, so go sign up now. Speaking of Jeff, His new book (Canon 50D-From Snapshots to Great Shots) is on the shelf now & he bestowed a complimentary signed copy on me last week at Scott Kelbys CS4 Seminar. I will show you why tomorrow....

Also my When Everyone Else is Working Meetup Group has 2 Meetup's this week,

Thursday at Brighton Dam & Friday at the Vietnam Memorial (yes Scott)

My First Par

I am very new to golf, and last Wednesday I knocked in my first par at my local course. If you play you know, if not, you should try.
