Feeling Lucky

I went to the Photography Meetup at Colvin Mill last Friday. I am scheduling a new meetup for next week to check out the Allen Ginsburg Photography Exhibition at the National Gallery of Art.

Social Media Portraits

We had a small but EXCELLENT group yesterday at the Carriage House Studio yesterday.

Lights, Camera, Social Network Portrait

Point of Impact

I did a burst of Hiam when he swung. I was pleased to see that the 1/2500 Shutter Priority Mode caught this shot. The series is pretty cool too as when I combined it to .avi it was a mini movie of his swing. Golf Blogger - asked yesterday what I did to get the shot. I did a 3 exposure bracket, merged to HDR and tonemapped it to what you see, a little curve in CS3 and sharpened. Tech talk for I shot 3 shots and combined them with software = ).

I signed up for the Scott Kelby Annual Worldwide Photowalk this morning for Chinatown in DC. PhotoWalkPro (Jeff Revell) is leading it, there were 25 spots left, so go sign up now. Speaking of Jeff, His new book (Canon 50D-From Snapshots to Great Shots) is on the shelf now & he bestowed a complimentary signed copy on me last week at Scott Kelbys CS4 Seminar. I will show you why tomorrow....

A Few From Yesterday at USBG

We had about 5 photographers that braved the rain and came to the first When Everyone Else Is Working Photography Meetup Group. I set up a Flickr group for the posting of images from the Meetups. I look forward to seeing everyone's images.

New DC Photographer Meetup Group

The "When everyone else is working photography meetup group" started yesterday for photographers in the area. I will be organizing one or two morning meet ups each month in the DC area. Anyone can join, and if you can make it to a few, all the better.
