Fishing on the Chesapeake Bay

If there was a perfect day to charter a boat and cruise the bay, it was yesterday. The bay was calm, the high temp was 78, and the fish were biting. My good friend Sean is back in the US for the month, so we had to go fishing. We ended up chartering The Miss Demeanor that is captained by John Murphy out of Chesapeake Beach. He knew his stuff when it came to gear, and changed up the tackle early to make sure we caught our limit in Rockfish. The final count was 6 Rocks, 5 Spanish Mackerel, and 25 Blues. If they look small in the picture, keep in mind the striped ones (center) are Rocks and are 20 inches. A good day fishing for 3 indeed. To contact John about a possible charter - 410-641-6617

what a day! There is nothing as relaxing as a day on a boat! Catching that many keepers is a BIG bonus!!!
