Get Low...
A little ReDynaMix edit, we had some dramatic clouds over the mall this past weekend. To answer Julie, I did not shoot any at the book fest, it was just some big white tents in front of the capital. It was actually was kind of muddy, we made a walk thru and hit the American Indian Smithsonian.

The way it is suppose to be...
Rain out on the scout camping trip, so we went to DC for the National Book Festival. Saw these two and ran over for a quick grab. At least these two seem to get it, football is fun. Good win for the Skins! It was a great day for football, and if you do not have Direct TV NFL ticket - you should!

Just Because...
I shot this last weekend at Michael's game. I like the result here...not sure why...but I do...
I used the 300 LR preset, and pumped the cyan up, and cropped for effect.
Have a Scouts camping trip this weekend - hope it is just a light rain =)

Fishing on the Chesapeake Bay
If there was a perfect day to charter a boat and cruise the bay, it was yesterday. The bay was calm, the high temp was 78, and the fish were biting. My good friend Sean is back in the US for the month, so we had to go fishing. We ended up chartering The Miss Demeanor that is captained by John Murphy out of Chesapeake Beach. He knew his stuff when it came to gear, and changed up the tackle early to make sure we caught our limit in Rockfish. The final count was 6 Rocks, 5 Spanish Mackerel, and 25 Blues. If they look small in the picture, keep in mind the striped ones (center) are Rocks and are 20 inches. A good day fishing for 3 indeed. To contact John about a possible charter - 410-641-6617

White Buffalo
This is a shot I took while in Nebraska last month.
I am heading out today on a boat fishing on the Chesapeake. Keep your fingers crossed I get a big one.
In case you need more Mike Palmer, go check out Weekly Photo Tips. Scott asked me to review a book for his site. Thanks for the opportunity Scott.

Michael Jr
I think Michael was my favorite subject of the day. He was quite the trooper on the walk. He was even stung by a bee for the first time in his life. He is rubbing his wound in the middle shot.
Today is also Geographic Composition over at Jason D. Moore Photography. The theme is "Big and Small". I used an image I took Sunday of Bob.

Gettysburg Photowalk
Had a great (HOT) day in Gettysburg yesterday. It was good to put faces with some blogger names. Also to reacquaint with a few familiar faces. This was one of the stops we made, Bob, Michael Jr and I worked these faces in the stone for a few minutes. More to come...

Thank You
For all of the comments this week! They are always appreciated!
As you can tell, I did a little housekeeping this week on the blog. I did the same makeover on my Smugmug site. I am working on how I can get the look at my domain name with portfolio links.
I am off to Gettysburg on Sunday to participate in Andy's Visual Realia Photowalk. To find out more go to this link. I am looking forward to seeing my fellow bloggers Jeff, Mike Meyer, Shawn, Patty, Andy, Bob.

Jen and the Girls
I had the fantastic opportunity to work with Jen and her darling daughters this week for a portrait session. I really like how this image flows, I used a beach bypass preset for the toning.

Busy week again, portrait session yesterday and a food photo op working with a chef over the next few days. I did get a chance to get the camera profiles loaded into Lightroom last night and it is a very cool thing if you shoot raw. Wolf you need to check this out!! Watch a video on how to do it here.

Rainy Great Falls Pano
I shot this last March at Great Falls, Md. I processed in Lightroom 2 via merge to Pano in CS3. Did a small curve and unsharp and that is about it. I originally did not like it for the lack of color, but this weeks theme is "black and white in real life" over at Jason's D. Moore Photography Geographic Composition that I participate in.
